BOREHOLE WATER SURVEYS Pty Ltd (2020/433461/07), under the directorship of CEO Louis Vorster, a farmer and professional water pointer, with 40 years of experience, have successfully installed more than 4,000 boreholes across South Africa with a 98% success rate in detecting ground water using specialised German technology and science.

WHAT IS A WATER BOREHOLE?

Water boreholes (also known as water wells) are deep, narrow wells that tap into naturally occurring underground water. To use this water, a high efficiency pump is installed to extract the water from the permeable rock below.

THE PROCESS

Following a structured approach, we take great care to reduce the drilling risk and costs:

Surveys – find the best spots to drill a reliable AQUIFER, taking the area and landscape, slope, access and soil formations into consideration.

  • Research whether there are there any producing boreholes close to you and how much water these boreholes are yielding.
  • Our company carry out a survey on your property, using specialised German technology to pinpoint the spot that shows the best intersecting strong water flows with a success rate of 90%

Drilling – executed by drillers with extensive experience in groundwater drilling, using well maintained, specialised equipment to ensure precision. Targeting the spot, the surveyor identified on your property with the possibility of tapping into sustainable source of water.

Test borehole for strength and usability – checking for purity, hygiene, strength and flow of the aquifer and thus determine the size of the pump to be installed. The pump size is crucial and getting it wrong is expensive. The test must be registered with the Borehole Association of South Africa.
